Folklore Dance & Singing Group "Makedonka" from Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia is organizer of three International Festivals held in the most beautiful town of Ohrid, as follows:

     1. "St Cyril & Methodius" Children Festival ,              May 22 - May 26

     2. "Dancing Ring" Festival,                                           June 20 - June 30

     3. "Ohrid Sun"  Festival,                                            August 20 - August 30

            The Festivals are International with participants - folklore groups from all parts of the world, traveled to perform their ancient craft.

            The International Festivals are organized to join together the different cultures, through music and dance, and colorful costumes. Besides from enjoying in collection of cultures, participants will have the opportunity to express themselves as well to learn from the others, and to have unforgettable friendships.    

           Besides that, participants will have the opportunity to enjoying the beauty of Ohrid, protected by UNESCO together with Ohrid Lake.

The festivals are organized in Ohrid, which is placed in south-west part of Macedonia.. For more details about Ohrid, please visit www.ohrid.com.mk

The Organizing Committee of the International Festivals will provide the following:

1. Accommodation (hotel *** or similar with adequate category, 2 and 3 badrooms);

2. Meals (three daily) during the Festival;

3. Entertainment - excursions for all participants;

4. Certificates and memory gifts for all groups - participants.

Responsibilities of Foreign Folklore Groups:

1. Each participant group is consisted of max. 40- 45 members, including

    administrators,  teacher and musicians;

2. Each troupe should bring flag(s) of their country with them;

3. Be prepared to present 20-30 minutes performance. ;

4.Each troupe can choose 4-5 days for stay in festival termin (of 10 days )that is given for each of the festivals "Dancing Ring" and "Ohrid Sun"    

Festival Fee is 20 Euro per day per participant, which help to cover the hotel and meals, local transportation expenses (groups arrived by airplane), as well as other production costs.
